Ruthy Ungar – Fiddle

Ruth Ungar is a fiddler and uke-chanteuse who grew up in the American roots underground, the daughter of GRAMMY-winning fiddle master, Jay Ungar and folksinger/luthier Lyn Hardy. She was exposed to many styles and tunes growing up at her family’s music camp Ashokan, in NY’s Hudson Valley, where she now teaches every summer. Ruth brings a playful and irreverent energy to her songs and tune arrangements, and believes there is emotional power lurking in every piece of music just waiting to be unleashed. She’s also a mom, bookkeeper, tour manager, van-driver, and amateur claymation artist.
