Tom Murphy is a multi-instrumentalist returning to Targhee Music Camp for his 14th straight year. He has taught at camps throughout North America and Europe including the Cabin Fever Bluegrass Workshop in British Columbia and Adiaha’s Bluegrass Camp in Germany.
While many know Tom as a mandolin player, his first passion was the acoustic guitar. Starting in grade school, Tom learned guitar the old fashioned way by playing along with vinyl records by Norman Blake, John Hartford, and Jethro Tull.
Tom plays guitar, mandolin and octave mandolin with bands in the Northern Rockies.
